Anjali scores 93% in Class X !

“ISHWAR NGO is the best place for poor children”, says the daughter of a mason, who wants to become an Engineer! Coming from a poverty-stricken family of 5, she has been with ISHWAR for 10 years. Hear her speak about her parents having no money, her passion for volleyball, and how, with ISHWAR’s help, she is beating bias and economic disadvantage and empowering herself by excelling in academics and extra-curriculars; gaining confidence through seminars, workshops & entrepreneurship programmes, and treats ISHWAR as her family! 

Shailender Kumar (80.6% in Class X, now in Class XII)

“ISHWAR NGO is not just an NGO for me, it is like my family which supports me… My 13-year journey at ISHWAR was amazing and outstanding”, says Shailender Kumar, son of a casual worker and an unemployed mother who had no money for his education. He got admission to school with ISHWAR’s preparatory help and has participated in several extra-curricular activities. He not only excelled in academics but also won matches in Chess competitions!

16 years old, learning vocational training at ISHWAR, lost her father to Covid in 2020 says – “…It was heartbreaking and I feel anger, pain, grief, and hopelessness, but ISHWAR NGO gave us hope of a better life and future… it is like my second home…”

Scored 84% marks in Class X has been associated with ISHWAR for the last 15 years. She says – “My financial condition was not good and I could not afford private tutors… ISHWAR helped not only in completing my education but taught me many other activities… I always secured First Division…” Today she has a job and has become independent and an earning member of her family.

Sonu Bhatt

Coming to ISHWAR NGO for the last 15 years, having started at Class II, and is now a Graduate from Delhi University! He is now a coaching teacher for Classes 8-10. For ISHWAR he says – “Further from studies, we used to watch movies, play games, go for educational trips, museums… the best part was to learn dance from Shiamak Davar… play chess and get a trophy from Tania Sachdev; because of ISHWAR I was ahead of other students in studies…My brother is also part of ISHWAR and ISHWAR NGO is the biggest part of our lives…”

Daughter of a vegetable seller with a large family of 9 members has been with ISHWAR for the last 13 years. “My father could not afford my education and then I came to ISHWAR NGO… I scored good marks and today I am in a job as well… I say thank you to all my teachers for educating me and making me independent and self-sufficient…I still wish to come to ISHWAR…”
