VOCATIONAL TRAINING

A programme for rehabilitation and economic empowerment of women and unemployed young adults, with disabilities or those belonging to very poor sections of the society. As children came for non-formal education to ISHWAR, it was noticed that their elder sisters and sometimes mothers too were desirous of learning some vocation to boost their family income.

ISHWAR also helps the trained learners to find suitable jobs. For those desirous of working from home, ISHWAR offers a donation / soft-loan scheme to provide stitching machines to desirous women and also help in the sale of products made by them.

ISHWAR then embarked upon this programme on providing them with hands-on training to enable them to become entrepreneurs or even get employment. The Beauty & Health Care courses were designed by a premier beauty clinic – VLCC while stitching and tailoring are conducted by expert teachers. Since no formal education is required for these courses, they are popular with women home-makers.
